I am worrisome to find a place that sells tv shelves to put on a tv stand to give the tv some height. They are usually made out of wood. And it needs to be superior to hold a 20" tv

You basically have two choices. 1. You can start sneering drywall and hide them in the wall, or 2. You can leave them out in the open but try to make them look punter.

Most people end up selecting #2 because it is so much easier.
