IBooks Gains Ground on the Kindle Platform
The most welcome announcement for the iPhone and iPod touch is that, like Amazon Kindle app, the next version of iBooks, available later this month, will run on both devices. As for the application of Kindle Amazon Kindle and equipment, once you've bought a book of iBookstore, you will be able to download this purchase all your devices.
But with this capacity, Apple added another key element Kindle iBook: synchronization of the position. Stop reading a book on a single device, and the next time you run on an iBook of your devices, you turn right where you left off.
Apple has also responded to requests for reading materials Kindle-like. The new version of the iBook lets you take notes while you read. Each note seems like a little post-it on the side of the page. And while you can now "bookmark" text - which really means "to highlight sections of text on a page - the new iBook will allow you to bookmark the pages themselves. Each table of contents of the book show all your bookmarks and notes - which are also synchronized between devices - allowing you to quickly switch to one of them.
