Four Texas farms where visitors can pick their own blueberries
FARM Created 10 years ago, the most-acre farm 15 is now managed by Jeannie & Erick Duarte. In addition to the 5.5 acres of blueberries and blackberries 3.5 acres, 120 fruit trees and nuts, including apples and pears.
When to go The farm is now open for berry picking, with the season estimated to run until the end of July.
PRICE buckets, each a little over one gallon of capacity, will be provided for use at the farm $ 14 per bucket. Call ahead to reserve the pre-harvest berries, which are $ 20 a gallon.
MODE OF PAYMENT Cash, check and credit cards
Free ice water facilities will be available. Take a picnic and settle in the picnic tables under shade trees near a pond cat half acre, where you can feed the fish (fishing is not permitted). If you do not want to take a picnic, you can buy sandwiches and other items.
