&Mdash; When Maggie Dawkins and her husband bought their house three bedrooms Sunset District in August, there was little to do before moving in, the house had been renovated just four years earlier, she said.
"We jumped on him," she said. "What we wanted to do was be near the park and the city ... the stars were aligned."
But Dawkins, figures in black and white in the middle of her favorite colors, so the couple added a black marble countertop in the kitchen, to vintage light fixtures and paint throughout, covering over the light brown and turquoise that had dominated the house - all the walls and ceilings are now shades of gray and white.
"I like the gray walls," said Dawkins. "Funny," she said with a laugh. "When I told people that we are going to paint all the parts and they'd go" Oh, what colors ?! "And I would say," gray "- would be no excitement out of it!
