Antiques & Collectibles: Antique shop is a dream come true
LAKE CITY As its name suggests, Primrose Cottage is a turn of the century, in an antique store for three rooms in Lake City that has been transformed into a cottage with a deck, fence, landscaping and floral chairs.
"It has always been my dream to have an antique store," said owner Darlene Wallerich. "When my husband Don and I moved into a residential area in 1999 ... we bought our house near other retail outlets and we thought we could open our lower level to the population and the use outside the driveway access to an old shop."And they did it.
The couple renovated the lower level of their homes to accommodate their dreams, who also worked for Don, who had been diagnosed with Member States and needs help with daily care.
Before the pair could transform their dreams into a reality, Don died in 2003.
"My dreams died with him, and I knew I could never do this without being there encouragement and support," said Wallerich. "Knowing that my retirement is near ... I started thinking that I do not want to be alone and I can make this dream alive.First, I needed to buy a property, because I did not want the company to be in my house and I needed to find a place where traffic is heavy.
