When Smartmom and Hepcat discovered they were pregnant with Teen Spirit in July 1990, they were terrified.

Smartmom and Hepcat were sitting on the futon couch in the East Village Co-op they shared. She began to cry, Hepcat was very pale. Very.
But Smartmom knew she wanted a baby. And do Hepcat. It was just going to take some getting used to.
Until then, their lives had been so simple. They worked, they spent time with friends.They went to Alphabet City bars and restaurants went out to clubs to hear bands, art galleries to see the movie theaters to see movies.
Today, their life became complicated and raised. And at this point to rely on the sofa futon, they were not sure they were up to the task - they were not sure they were ready to unleash their married life without worries.
