amateurishly made
This is a sick made product which looks nice in pictures but isn't as nice once put together. The "wood" is cheap (even by cheap pressed-wood standards!). The "dispatch" is inconsistent, there are cracks in it and the table stains easily. The legs never fit together in a flush way... there's... -

I bought this table because the price seemed to be upper. It had been if the product would have a better quality. The craftsmanship is poor, to say the least. The product was received with scratches, the tint was uneven, the turn nut to secure the legs did not hold the pin, and I had to use...

I would like a old-fashioned coffee table for my new living room. It would be great if it had rounded edges and nice details... but anything is raise than nothing. Also, not too expensive!

How do I cleanse an antique wooden coffee table? Its kind of dirty / dusty and the finish needs polishing to be placed it shiny again. Thanks for any help.
I would use the Murphy's Oil Soap to good the piece, then good furniture polish such as Guardsman or Old English to bring the dispatch back.
The coffee table is an antique that I inherited. It's in substantial condition, and all I've been doing is dusting the marble top for about 15 years. I realized I perhaps should be doing something else and would cherish guidance.
Marble is stone. Justifiable clean w/ damp rag or household cleaning like 409 or Fantastic.

Restored to their former glory
A high wooden door is carved rose 12ft in all its splendor, its frame covered with hundreds of beautifully delineated annapakshis lined with flowers and tendrils curve. The top frame panels make representations Super Rama and Krishna Leela Pattabhishekam while the canopy, Gandharvas and Yakshi shower blessings on visitors to cross the threshold!
This is 120 years, is among the many items on view at an exhibition entitled "Looking in Ancient South India", which features chic furniture, architectural elements, decorative items and knick-knacks covering the last 250 years. Also on view are rosewood 150-year-old brilliantly carved compass cabinet, cabinets and Victorian sofa sets, swings and roll-top tables, loveseats Jacobin French dresser and a dining table from the collection of Connemara whose lineage goes back to Buckingham Palace!
The collection has a wonderful ruby 5ft by 3ft studded art Tanjore Nataraja Sabha done in vegetable colors mellow with Nataraja, Vishnu flanked by Lakshmi and Saraswati-Bramha. Under portraits of 63 Nayannars with their names inscribed. There are some rarities on view, many vestiges of the glorious bygone era.
