Selig blew perfect chance to be leader for once
I agree with Donald, and think that all "can not change historical integrity of the game:" whiners have their heads in their butts. If Selig has decided to exercise some leadership for once in his life miserable, it was a win-win-win all around - the referee was released from his obvious guilt, the pitcher would have obtained a perfect game into the record books, and fans were delighted. Instead of this, the winds of baseball to look like he is afraid to do something "breaks with tradition" - do not worry about the designated hitter in the AL!Derek Jeter was quoted as going not to use Instant Replay in baseball because "games are too long already." Excuse me? "When I was growing up int 1960, entered the batter in the batter's box and there remained throughout his at-bat, the pitcher delivered one after another pitch until the batter was out or on base. If the dough needed to break the box to adjust his equipment, he had to request that the airtime Umpire - otherwise it would automatically be called for delay-of-ThursNow, all hitting action of the batter's box after every single pitch and goes through a ritual sense to adjust his gloves and hit the ground with his cleats, or what have you. And the pitcher waits, or goes to the mound. A typical-bat can last 15 minutes, 40, rounds were played in the whole 15 minutes! Why does not Selig do something? The games were so slow and boring they are absolutely impossible to watch without falling asleep.
