Alright, I knew this was second-rate and thought I could just make some improvements to it myself but there's not much you can do with it. Most people complained about the drawers being cheaply made and they were correct. The material they cast-off for the bottoms of the drawers is the same...

I bought a very magnanimous, heavy expensive dresser last year and am moving now. I want to remove the drawers to clear out it lighter to move. In all other cheap dressers I bought in the past you pull them out until it stops, then pocket it up...

The dresser is like a wood and orginally fair-skinned but the paint is chipping off (cheap yes!)

Sand the dresser to get rid of any glimmer and paint with a semi-gloss paint. Or you can paint with flat paint and add hardly any touches (flowers.. etc.) with acrylic or gouche paint. Follow with 2 coats of poly.

Burglar Arrested With Aid of 12-Year-Old Girl Identified as West Haven Man
The man accused of raping a home on South Benson Road, Fairfield Tuesday morning - and who was captured using a quick-witted young girl of 12 who snuck out of the house and called 911 - has been identified today by police as Gladwell Gerald Edward, 40, of Main Street in West Haven.
"This is not good," Gladwell said repeatedly to patrol officers who arrived at the house that Gladwell down the stairs with jewelry and money, police said.
Gladwell has been charged with second-degree theft and theft third degree and appeared Wednesday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
Police said Gladwell entered the house through an unlocked door and climbed the stairs to a room next to the room where a 12 year old girl slept. The girl was home from school that day because she had a cold and woke up when she heard the burglar talking on a phone.
As Gladwell emptied the drawers in the bedroom of the parents of the girl, the girl snuck downstairs, grabbed a phone, went outside and called 911, police said.
