Better Inexpensive Temporary Bed
I recently moved grouchy country for a duration of only a few months, and I did not want to spend a whole lot in either moving my bed or buying a new one. I decided to buy this Coleman 4-in-1 air bed for two reasons: that it was cheap and it had passably decent reviews on Amazon. I can say that I... -

This is a very relaxing bed. I use it every night as a "raised twin" (one placed on top of the other). I still like the twin bed/box spring idea, but this is very affordable.

If you can , blow up it. Then wash well with detergent, bleach and warm water. Scrub the stains with a rag and then let it dry in the sun.
Coleman air mattresses are amazing!
there are 2 holes the gauge of a golf ball on the side of a coleman air mattress that our small dog chew into. How do i repair these holes?
Go to the value...and buy a new air mattress. You can try to find the hole by running water over the inflated matress and looking for air bubbles and then using a episode kit. but in the end the patch kits never work very well and you've stressed...

Vacation time
I am writing this column early.
For the first time in many years, we will take a real vacation when you read this. In fact, it might be a little more and we will be packing to go again in a day or two.
I know it will be a good week. We are going camping.
We did a lot of this over recent years, but almost always on weekends, sometimes with an extra day tossed in. This year we have a whole week and two weekends!
Years ago we used to load the children, pack canoe, tent and Coleman lamp, stove and various equipment and head.We took a cooler full of kid-type food and treats. We cooked a lot of meals on the fire, lying on the floor with mats or air mattresses and sleeping bags, fishing or swimming every day and took many pictures.
This was done for fun and many memories, but I like camping us these days much better.
I can not help it, I'm spoiled. We head to our 26.5-foot trailer with a queen size bed, TV with VCR and DVD player, radio, CD player, stove, refrigerator, microwave and almost everything else, on a smaller scale that we have here at home. The trailer, now several years old, has been a great investment and we really use it to get summer-aways.
